چکیده
Purpose: A retrospective study to evaluate various MR imaging spectrums of clinically diagnosed cases Hirayama disease. Materials and Method: This included a review images 13 patients on the hospital information system who underwent evaluation for suspected disease 3 Tesla MRI scanner in postcontrast neutral flexion positions. Images were evaluated following findings: Localised lower cervical cord atrophy, asymmetric flattening, Abnormal curvature, an Increased signal T2WS, Loss attachment between posterior dura lamina, presence flow void with enhancement. Observations: Lower anterior dural shift flexion, enhancement epidural component was found thirteen out (100%), followed by hyperintense T2WS which 11 patients. subjacent lamina abnormal curvature spine 9 (91.3%), prominent eight (61.5%), thoracic extension enhancing five (38.4%).

Magnetic resonance imaging in Hirayama disease.
Hirayama disease (HD) is a rare type of cervical myelopathy related to flexion of the neck characterized by progressive muscular weakness and atrophy of the distal upper limbs most frequently seen in young males. HD is thought to be secondary to an abnormal anterior displacement of the posterior dura with secondary compression of the lower cervical spinal cord and chronic injury to the anterior...

BACKGROUND Hirayama disease (HD) is a segmental nonprogressive spinal muscular atrophy found in male patients. OBJECTIVE To report the results of a comprehensive evaluation of clinical, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electromyography (EMG), and survival motor neuron (SMN) gene analysis of HD. DESIGN Clinical, MRI, and SMN gene deletion study. SETTING Tertiary care teaching hospital. ...

The purpose of this study was to investigate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the normal feline eyeand optic nerves using T1-weighted and T2-weighted images. A total of 6 healthy female domestic short haircats age 2-2.5 years and weighing 3.2 ± 0.4 kg were selected. Magnetic resonance imaging data werecollected using GEMSOW (Philips) at a magnetic field strength of 1.5 T. Dorsal, sagittal, a...

Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...
